Enjoying the Beauty of Cantonese Lanterns during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
- During the Mid-Autumn Festival, every family in Guangzhou ties lanterns to trees with bamboo sticks. After the 15th day of the seventh lunar month every year, the house of Lu Yanhong, a lantern-making craftsman, gradually becomes lively. Until 8 p.m. on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, people knock on her door to buy lanterns. Aunt Hong has been engaged in making Cantonese lanterns for more than 20 years, just because she always recalls her master's commission: "We should pass on the craftsmanship of making lanterns and let more young people know about this Chinese traditional handicraft."
